Sirus, or “little lion” due to his wonderful wiry mane, is the tiniest adult dog at the shelter.  He is a lover – he is happy spending his time on your lap and being cuddled and talked to. We are getting him used to walking on leash.  He’s quite independent – walking when and where he wants only.  If you tug on the leash for him to go else where he rolls over on his back and grabs the leash in his front paws or his mouth and just looks at you like “You can’t make me.”.  It’s really cute.  He is friendly to other calm dogs – he loves to walk with one of the mama dogs at the shelter – that’s one way we get him to walk on leash. Sirus is timid with new people at first, but will warm up with gentleness and easy pats – he’s so small, the world is full of giants for him.  He would be so happy in a home with a backyard where he can play, or even with another dog with which to play.  And, of course, plenty of laps on which to cuddle.
