As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, we rely heavily on public donations to provide food, shelter and medical care for the animals at RCHS until they find their forever homes.

Although we are very conservative with our budget and our spending, it costs more than $32,000 each month to operate the shelter (more than $375,000 per year). That averages out to more than $1,000 each day. Adoption fees do not cover the actual costs incurred.

There are many ways you can help us pay for the care and feeding of the animals, and donations are tax deductible.

Donate Online

Your donation allows us to provide whatever critical services the animals need most at that moment. Just like  everyone else, our costs have increased significantly.  Some examples of what your donation will cover include (with pre-Covid costs and current, updated figures in red) :

• Food for one animal for one month: was $25 –  now $30
• Medical exam for one animal: was $50 –   now $100
• Spay/neuter one animal: was $75 –  now $100-$250+
• Feed all the animals at RCHS for one day: was $100 –  now $130-$150
• Care for one shelter pet until adoption: was $250 –  now $400-$500
• Fund RCHS for one day: was $800+ –   now $1,000+
