Special Projects

If your family, neighborhood, school class, church, scout troop, or other civic group is interested in helping the animals, why not organize a car wash, bake sale, or yard sale and dedicate the proceeds to RCHS? Or gather needed supplies from your neighborhood or group members?

Other ideas our ingenious supporters have come up with include:

• Eagle Scout Project: For his Eagle Scout Project, Peyton Shields of Boy Scout Troop 88 constructed a set of outdoor kennel pads for our dogs. Peyton did a great job and made a big contribution to upgrading our facilities! Check out our photo galleries to see the results.

• Day of Service: For their annual Day of Service, Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church has helped out at the shelter by clearing brush, gardening, and socializing cats. Check out the photos!

• Pianos for Pets: Bruce and Jane Dillon operate Pianos for Pets, accepting tax deductible donations of pianos which are then refurbished and sold, with the proceeds donated to RCHS. Phone 304-940-1282 for details.
